I am an entrepreneur who has worked in the high tech industry in Toronto, California, Ottawa and now Vancouver.
I've started three companies, worked in large ones (Nortel, Mitel), small ones (Xmark, March) and consulted. I've enjoyed the people I've met along the way, and the opportunities that we've created together.
My first company was called SpeechFront, merging speech recognition, instant messaging and presence management to help people stay connected. We were bought in 5 months by Nuance.
PointShot Wireless, my second, put wireless internet on trains. We were the first in North America, eventually equipping all of VIA Rail's Quebec City-Windsor trains to allow people to put Wi-Fi on board.
My latest venture was BeWellNetworks. This was a much more personal project, and was about helping seniors who were not on the internet stay socially connected to their family and friends.
I love to put together business and techology. I'm working with startups to help them build their business strategy.
